It's always tempting to try to bring everything you need when it's time to go on vacation, but airlines like Cathay Pacific have baggage allowance limits. The best air service I had was Korean Air, which deserves its praise. The second best was China Air (not the flower airline).
Cathay is in the middle because it is the only airline with nonstop service besides AA. They also have USB plugs, which you won't find on other flights. However, their entertainment is no different from CE, CA or many other airlines.
In my experience, Cathay is a bit disappointing. The food was okay, but was often limited because they couldn't prepare an item or didn't have it. It is also a typical food despite what it seems to say. No airline has good food and I can assure you that CP is no different.

There are 32 seats in premium economy, four rows in a 2-4-2 configuration. I'm in 30H, an aisle seat in the front row of the cabin. There's plenty of legroom, to the point that the wall-mounted touch screen TV sits out of reach without unbuckling or leaning forward. That's significantly more than the 40 inches (101.6 centimeters) of premium economy seats in other rows. The width is 20 inches (50.8 centimeters). The armrests are fixed and there are buttons to adjust the leg rest and recline. An amenity kit includes a toothbrush, socks, earplugs and an eye mask. In first class, cabin attendants will convert your seat into a completely flat bed, with a pillowtop mattress and duvet, within 2 minutes after dinner when you leave to use the bathroom.
